Since birth, I lived with Tourette’s Syndrome, overcoming its challenges with determination. Drawn to adrenaline, I felt the spirit of a warrior coursing through my veins, balanced by a compassionate heart devoted to charitable causes. Joining this event felt like a natural fit, aligning perfectly with my character and passions.
The anticipation of testing myself in a new sport filled me with excitement. To prepare, I made significant lifestyle changes, intensifying my training efforts beyond the football field. Stepping into the cage for a fight was a world apart, demanding strict discipline and unwavering commitment. There were no excuses, only dedication.
Throughout my journey, I raised funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital, a place dear to my heart. Seven years ago, they saved my son’s life when he faced a blocked intestine. Thanks to their exceptional care, he thrives today.
Now, having completed the journey, I’m fitter, more disciplined, and grateful for the ways training has helped manage my Tourette’s. I’d recommend this journey to anyone seeking personal growth and overcoming challenges.
